Jamaica, VA - Even mother nature couldn’t pick up a win against the “Monsters of Mayhem and Destruction” during Night two of Monster Slam at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway. Several hours a storm blew through the area bringing rains and lightening. The storm moved the “Pit Party” to under the grandstands but that was the only deviation from the night’s events as the monster truck contingent put on a tremendous show for the fans.

With the absence of Escalade, due to the huge crash during Friday nights show, that left fast qualifier Mopar Magic with a bye run in round one. The rest of the round one runs were close as Grave Digger beat, Gunslinger, Batman bested Ninja Turtle and Bad News edged out Stone Crusher.

In round two Mopar Magic beat out Grave Digger and Batman took out Bad News. That set up a final between Mopar Magic and Batman with Batman and driver Bobby Parr taking home the racing crown.

The fans were then treated to yet another awesome display of freestyle by all the competitors. In a very tight freestyle competition Grave Digger squeaked out a 1 point win over Stone Crusher to be crowned the Monster Slam freestyle champion.

In Quad Wars it was Team Virginia taking home the win over Team Florida.
