Jamaica, VA – Officials at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway are anxiously awaiting September 18th, that is the day the 31st Annual USA 100™ returns to the ½ mile speed plant in beautiful Jamaica, VA. The event will be sanctioned this year by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

“The last two years the twin 25’s have been phenomenal and the final 50 lap segment was just been out of this world. We couldn’t be more pleased with hosting this event. This race is definitely a fan friendly event. The two 25 lap qualifiers could be features anywhere in the country. This year we have yet again increased the payout and the event will pay $15,000 to the winner and $1000 to start the “A” Main. The payout has produced a lot of interest from both Series drivers as well as the local, regional, and even some of the national stars,” concluded track General Manager Clarke Sawyer.

For this year’s edition of the 31st edition of the USA 100™ the speedway has also added a B Main to give the competitors one more chance to make it into the USA 100™ A Main.

The speedway has also added a 30 lap, $2500 to win AMRA Modified event boasting a total purse of $15,555. Some of the best modified competitors on the East Coast are expected to be in attendance.

“We are extremely excited to bring in the AMRA Modifeds as a support division this year; we expect the addition of the modifieds to the program to make for an even more intense afternoon of racing,” added Sawyer.

The purse for Ernie Shelton’s USA 100™ final 50 lap segment: 1. $15,000; 2. $7,500; 3. $4,000; 4. $3,000; 5. $2,500; 6. $2,000; 7. $1,700; 8. $1,400 9. $1,250; 10. $1,200; 11. $1,100; 12. $1,075; 13. $1,050; 14. $1,025; 15. $1,020; 16. $1,015; 17. $1,010; 18.$1,005; 19- 26 $1,000. All drivers who do not transfer to the A Main from the B Main(s) will receive $200.00.

The purse for the AMRA Modified 30 lap feature will be: 1. $2,500; 2. $1,500; 3. $1,200; 4. $1,100; 5. $1,000; 6. $900; 7. $800; 8. $700 9. $600; 10. $500; 11. $475; 12. $450; 13. $355; 14. $295; 15. $290; 16. $285; 17. $280; 18. $275; 19. $270; 20. $265; 21. $ 260; 22. $255; 23- 26 $250.

Ernie Shelton’s USA 100™ format will once again feature a fan friendly format featuring two 25 lap qualifying races, B Main(s) and a 50 lap A Main. Group qualifying will fill the positions for the 25 lap qualifiers.

The speedway will once again provided fans with a top-flight show for very favorable ticket prices. Adults are $25.00 while seniors (60+) and military (active and retired) are $20.00; students 7-17 are $12.00 and children Under 6 are FREE. Pit passes will be $40.00.

The competitor gates open at 3:00 p.m. while the spectator gates swing open at 4:00 p.m. On Track Action begins at 6:00 pm with hot laps.

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is a 1/2-mile, dirt oval located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in beautiful Jamaica, VA.
