And that’s why he can’t wait to return to Bill Sawyer’s pristine half-mile oval on April 15-16 for the second edition of the $25,000-to-win World of Outlaws Late Model Series spectacular. Jamaica, VA – The speedway will be hosting a open practice this Saturday April 2nd from 9am till 5pm. On track action will get underway about 11:30am. We would like all competitors to have their AMB / My Laps transponders on their car and charged so that we may test the system and also provide you with lap times for practice sessions. For those that need to rent transponders we will have them available for $25 for the day. Fans are invited to come out and watch open practice to see all the new cars and paint schemes. There will be no charge for grandstand admission for open practice. Anyone wanting to visit the pits will be required to buy a pit pass. Pit passes will be $20 per person. All cars must be inspected before they will be allowed to practice. Registrations are currently being accepted with all numbers being given out on a first come first served basis. Competitors can obtain a 2011 registration form by going to the tracks website or by calling the speedway Monday through Friday 10am through 3pm at (804) 758-1867....

Attention Sportsman Drivers – Rule Change!

Jamaica, VA – There has been a change to the GM 604 Crate motor rules. Please download the new rules package if you plan on running the GM 604 crate motor during the 2011 season. The GM 604 crate rules will now mirror those of the late model and modified utilizing a 750 cm carburetor (see rules for clarification) with the car weighing 3000 lbs with driver. Speedway Has Successful Weekend at Motorsports 2011; Commonwealth 100 Tickets On Sale

Jamaica, VA – The speedway’s booth at the Motorsports 2011 show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center was a huge hit with fans and competitors. Thank you to everyone that came by the booth to visit with us and for all the wonderful comments about our speedway. A huge thank you to Austin Hubbard and Bruce Kane who provided cars for the booth and did autographs and also to World of Outlaws Late Model driver Rick Eckert and 2010 Steel Block Bandits Champion Walker Arthur for their participation in the autograph sessions....

2011 Rules Packages Are Now Posted; 2011 Driver Registrations Currently Being Accepted

Jamaica, VA – Rules packages for all four of the speedway’s divisions are now posted under the “Drivers” tab on navigation bar. The only two divisions that will see any changes will be the Budweiser Modifieds and the Collision One Limited Stock Cars. All competitors should download a copy of their division rules and the 2011 VMS General Rules package. Driver registrations are currently being accepted with the top twenty in each class having their number saved until February 1st when all numbers will become first come first served. Competitors can obtain a 2011 registration form by going to the “Drivers” tab on the navigation bar or by calling the speedway Monday through Friday 10am through 3pm at (804) 758-1867....
