The night’s activities will include the 1st Annual Truckin Thunder Dirtwood Nationals Pinewood Derby presented by the Virginia Army National Guard that will precede the action at the big track. There will be three divisions of competition for the pinewood derby – Scouts, Fans and VMS competitors. Gates will open at 3pm for registration and the 1st Annual Dirtwood Nationals will start at 4pm.

After the pinewood derby everyone is invited to stay for a night filled with exciting high octane, side by side dirt track racing and fireworks. All Scouts and Scout Masters in uniform will be admitted free in the grandstands.

See the Victory Lap Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock Car divisions in action.

Competitor gates for Saturday, June 30th will open at 4pm with spectator gates opening at 5pm. On track activities will begin at 6:30pm with hot laps. I could have went to a different track had I had not driven to yours first. Shot my Saturday night – thanks! You also had a family of four from Delware that changed vacation plans to see your race. Hard to believe and very disappointing especially since there were no race cars there so sommeone must have made a decission much earlier in the day. Unfortunately I’m not going to be in the area to caught any other races.
