The website was updated at at 11am on Saturday morning with this press release. It was also RSS fed to our Facebook page at the same time. There are comments on our Facebook page that at time stamped at 11:09am. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and any of our other fans. We try very hard to keep everyone updated about any possible cancellations by posting on our site, our Facebook page, area message boards and local radio stations. Unfortunately, we experienced a catastrophic power outage from three direct lightning strikes to the facility. We did not have any electricity at the facility to host an event. At the time of this reply we are still without power at the racetrack. We are working very hard to get things back to normal. Again, we apologize to all our fans for any inconvenience our cancellation may have caused.

I’m traveling through the area and drove two hours to find out you cancelled. I had checked this site around 3PM and looked like things were a go. I could have went to a different track had I had not driven to yours first. Shot my Saturday night – thanks! You also had a family of four from Delware that changed vacation plans to see your race. Hard to believe and very disappointing especially since there were no race cars there so sommeone must have made a decission much earlier in the day. Unfortunately I’m not going to be in the area to caught any other races.
