Registrations Begin to roll in for 2013 Season

Jamaica, VA — With the 2013 season opener just a few months away registrations have started to roll in for the 2013 season. For the last five years the first driver to turn in his registration has always been Collision One Limited Stock competitor Paul Bess of Quantico, VA, this year that honor goes to rookie Budweiser Modified competitor Steven Moore of Mechanicsville, MD. This will be the first season of short track racing of any kind for Moore who also owns CPM Camera Rigs. Moore will be competing for Rookie of the Year honors in the tracks very competitive modified division. A former drag racer, Moore received a Dirt Track Driving School session from his wife Heidi as a birthday gift, one that has now led to him starting his own modified team. “I wanted to see if I wanted to make the switch full time to short track racing and basically they had to drag me out of the car. I am really excited and looking forward to be competing in the Budweiser Modified division at Virginia Motor Speedway,” commented Moore. For those wondering, Paul Bess’s registration was the second one received this season. The speedway has begun to accept registrations for the 2013 season with the top twenty in each class having their number saved until February 15th when all numbers will become first come first served. Competitors can obtain a 2013 registration form by going to the tracks website or by calling the speedway Monday through Friday 10am through 3pm at (804) 758-1867.
