Jamaica, VA – After a very successful Prelude to the World Championship weekend Virginia Motor Speedway officials are excited to return to racing this Saturday, September 7th and host Collision One Championship Night and week 13 of Dirt Series Championship weekly racing action. The will crown champions in all four of the speedway’s Dirt Series Championship divisions in action. See the Victory Lap Pro Late Models, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock Cars in some exciting side by side racing that will decide who gets crowned champion. Competitor gates for Saturday, September 7th, will open at 4 pm with spectator gates opening at 5 pm. On track activities will begin at 6:30 pm for hot laps. Divisions scheduled to race on Saturday: Victory Lap Pro Late Models (35 Laps); Budweiser Modifieds (30 laps); Truckin Thunder Sportsman (30 laps) and the Collision One Limited Stock Cars (25 laps). All divisions will run Hot Lap Time Trials and Features. SPEEDWAY SET TO HOST RICHEST PRO LATE MODEL EVENT IN HISTORY

Jamaica, VA – Pro Late Model racing’s richest weekend has gotten richer, as Virginia Motor Speedway will host the richest Pro Late Model event in history with the $50,000 to win FASTRAK World Championship presented by James River Equipment. The historic weekend will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 13 – 14, 2019 at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA. Track officials are busy preparing the facilities for what is expected to be another record car count. The weekend will put the spotlight squarely on the country’s best Pro Late Model drivers. This mega race will pay the winner a whopping $50,000. With a total payout of over $170,000, it is the richest weekend in all of Pro Late Model history. The weekend will also include a $6000 to win and $600 to start the Dirt Cup Challenge UMP Modified event. This race will be a UMP National Point event. It all kicks off Friday, September 13th with registration, tech, practice and two sets of heats for both the FASTRAK Pro Late Model competitors as well as the Dirt Cup Challenge UMP Modified competitors to set the top 16 spots in both features. The following night Saturday, September 14 the FASTRAK Pro Late Model competitors will have B Main(s), the 75 lap $50,000 feature and up to four (4) non-qualifier races based on car count. TWO-DAY TICKETS FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP NOW ON SALE

Jamaica, VA – Speedway officials are happy to announce that fans can now purchase two-day tickets for the September 13-14, 2019 FASTRAK World Championship presented by James River Equipment at Virginia Motor Speedway. The two-day tickets will allow fans to save up to $15 over the single-day ticket pricing. The $50,000 to win event will make history as the richest Pro Late Model event in history. Not only will fans get to see the country’s best Pro Late Model drivers duke it out for the $50,000 top prize, the Mid-Atlantic’s best UMP Modified drivers will be competing in a $6000 to win and $600 to start event. Credit card purchases for the two-day tickets are made over the phone by calling 804-758-1867 between the hours of 9 am – 4 pm Monday through Friday. The speedway accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. There will be a $3 charge per credit card order. Fans can also buy tickets at the speedway office during the same time frame. Two-day ticket pricing for the FASTRAK World Championship will see adults $45, seniors (60+) $40, military $35, students (13-17) $20 and children 12 and under free. All tickets are general admission seating. Pit passes (regardless of age) are $50 and get you a seat in the grandstands. Logan Roberson Slides Carson Ferguson with Two Laps Remaining to Score the $3000 FASTRAK Prelude to the World Championship victory; Thomas, Shelton and Bradley also pick Up Wins

JAMAICA, VA – Logan Roberson of Waynesboro, VA got by Carson Ferguson of Charlotte, NC with two laps, executing a perfect slide job for the lead. Roberson would go on to score the win in the Northern Neck Chevrolet Prelude to the World Championship at Virginia Motor Speedway. Roberson made two attempts to get by Ferguson before finally pulling off the slide job to take the lead. Once out front, he was able to hold Ferguson at bay for the victory. “Racing with my friend Carson (Ferguson) was a blast, I hated getting into him for the win. We thrashed really hard after hot laps to get this car to where we think we have a really good car for the World Championship,” commented Roberson in WhosYourDriver.org victory lane. Rounding out the top five were Carson Ferguson, Corey Almond, Justin Williams, and Walker Arthur. In other action Christian Thomas of Wake Forest, NC made his long trip pay off with a flag to flag Budweiser Modified victory; in the Truckin Thunder Sportsman Tim Shelton of Fredericksburg, VA wired the field for the win, and in the Collision One Limited Stock Car 25 lap feature Cory Bradley of Hopewell, VA scored his third win of the season. Michael Brown and Dillon Brown led the field to green with Michael Brown taking the top spot on the drop of the green flag. On the next lap, Kyle Hardy would work his way into second, getting past Dillon Brown in turn 3. On lap 4 Brown and Hardy got together racing for the lead entering turn 4 ending Hardy’s night. On the restart, Carson Ferguson rocketed to the lead with Brown heading to the infield with mechanical issues. Behind Ferguson, Justin Williams, Walker Arthur, Matt Long, Logan Roberson and Corey Almond all battled for second through six. On lap 27 Roberson began working on Williams for second when caution would fly for a stopped Dale Hollidge. On the restart, Roberson got inside Williams for second and on the next circuit, Almond got by Williams for third. On lap 34 Roberson closed in on Ferguson and began to pressure him for the lead. At the same time, Justin Williams and Corey Almond began their battle for third. On lap 37 Roberson made a move to get inside Ferguson in turn 3, Roberson was able to complete the slide job and take over the top spot. Just as that happened Almond got inside Williams for the last time to take third as Roberson went on to score the $3000 victory over Ferguson. Walker Arthur would round out the top five. Christian Thomas of Wake Forest, NC made the long trip to Virginia Motor Speedway well worth the drive leading flag to flag to score the Budweiser Modified victory. Ryan Toole and Thomas led the twenty-two car field to green with Thomas grabbing the lead off turn 2 followed by Hunter McClendon in second. McClendon tried several times to get inside Thomas for the lead only to be held at bay. Austin Holcombe made a late dash to the front, getting to third with five to go. With Thomas in control and heading to the checkers for the win, Holcombe got under McClendon out of turn four with McClendon holding off Holcombe for second with Ryan Toole and David Parker rounding out the top five. Tim Shelton of Fredericksburg, VA charged from his fifth-place starting position to take the lead from Brett Adkins and went on to score an easy win. Behind him, the action for 2nd and fourth was hot and heavy. But no one could close in on Shelton as he went on to score the win with Brett Adkins, Tyler Shipp, Chase Burrow and Joe Weiss rounding out the top five. Cory Bradley of Hopewell, VA outdueled Trent Clemans and James Givens to score the win in the Collision One Limited Stock Car 25 lap feature. Bradley would get the lead on the drop of the green flag and then held off several challenges by Clemas going on to lead flag to flag for his third win of the season. Rounding out the top five were Randy Hutchens, James Givens, Chris Champion, and Jay Seward. The speedway will take the weekend of August 31st off and return to racing on Saturday, September 7t to host Collision One Limited Stock Championship Night featuring the Victory Lap Pro Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock Car divisions in Dirt Series Championship weekly racing action. Williams Outduels Hubbard for Pro Late Model Victory on Pepsi Night; Chase Butler Scores Career First in Modifieds; Casey and Givens also Grab Victories

Jamaica, VA – Justin Williams of Concord, VA and Billy Hubbard of Cobbs Creek, VA put on a battle for the ages. The two exchanged the lead four times before Williams would finally take over the top spot for good with a slide job on a lap 30 restart. Williams would then survive one last caution with two laps to go to score his third Victory Lap Pro Late Model win of the season on Pepsi Night. “All the drivers here are pretty tough when you can start sixth and come up and get the win and pass someone like Billy (Hubbard); I would say he’s won two in a row but one of them got taken away from him. I had to throw a little slide job on him to get by him,” commented Williams in WhosYourDriver.org victory lane. Rounding out the top five were Davis Lipscombe, Russell Erwin in his first race, Billy Hubbard and Corey Almond. In other action Chase Butler of Mechanicsville, VA scored his career first Budweiser Modified win, taking the lead on lap 11 and then holding off point leader Hunter McClendon for the victory. In the Truckin Thunder Sportsman feature Steve Causey of Smithfield, VA returned to victory lane with his run from shotgun on the field, and in the Collision One Limited Stock Car 25 lap feature James Givens of Henrico, VA won for the third time this season. In the Victory Lap Pro Late Model 35 lap feature Troy Williams and Billy Hubbard led the field to green with Hubbard jumping to the lead out of turn 2. Once out front, Hubbard began to pull away. Behind him, Justin Williams would dice his way from his sixth-place starting spot to second by lap 12. With Hubbard working traffic, Williams began to close the gap. By lap 17 Williams had caught Hubbard in traffic and got inside him to take the lead on lap 18. Hubbard would fight back on the outside and regain the lead at the line the next lap. The two were aggressively working lapped traffic, almost getting into a couple of slower cars as they negotiated the lapped traffic. On a lap 30 restart Williams would put a slide job on Hubbard in turn 1 and take over the top spot. A caution on lap 33 set up a two lap shootout for the win. On the races final restart Hubbard tried to go around William’s on the outside, jumping the cushion allowing Williams to get away and Davis Lipscombe and Russell Erwin to get by for second and third with Hubbard and Corey Almond rounding out the top five. In the Budweiser Modified 30 lap feature Chase Butler and Francis Jarelle led the 23 car field to green with Jarelle leading the first circuit. Several positions back Hunter McClendon and Joey Polevoy battled for fourth just as the caution flew for the first time. On a lap 11 Jarrelle decided on a different tactic for the restart, this time waiting till turn 4 to get back in the gas. This time Butler was up for the challenge and jumped to the inside of Jarrelle heading into turn 1 and finally taking the lead out of turn 3. On lap 12 Brandon Galloway got by Jarrelle for second but would lose that position on lap 17 to McClendon. On lap 22 a caution erased all the distance between Butler and McClendon. On the restart, Butler would get a good jump and pull away by five car lengths but another caution on lap 24 would once again come back out and close the field on Butler’s bumper. Races the final restart Butler would once again get a great restart and pull away by six car lengths and go on to score his career-first victory in the Modified division. Rounding out the top five were Hunter McClendon, Brandon Galloway, Jeff Solinger and Lance Grady. The first three laps of the 30 lap Truckin thunder Sportsman feature might have been the most exciting of the night. Brett Adkins and Chase Burrow led the field to green with Adkins taking the lead out of turn 4. On the next circuit Burrow, chad Beahr, Matt Ashworth and Tyler Shipp tried to make it four-wide out of turn 2 with Shipp ending up in the backstretch wall ending the point leader’s night. On the restart Burrow was all over the back of Adkins while Joe Weiss attempted to make it three-wide. Heading into turn 1 Burrow slid under Adkins with the two touching, sending Burrow to the lead with Tim Shelton and Weiss working to his inside in turn 2 making it three-wide. Contact would send Burrow spinning bringing out the caution. Weiss would inherit the lead when Adkins would have to retire with mechanical issues. The race picked up again on lap 22 when Causey took the lead from Weiss out of turn 4. The two raced side by side for the next four laps before Causey would take the lead for good and go on to score his first win of 2019. Rounding out the top five were Joe Weiss, Chase Burrow, Tommy Upshaw, and Chad Beahr. In the Collision One Limited Stock 25 lap feature Trent Clemans and Chad Champion led the field to green with Clemans leading the first circuit. The top five cars all put on a great show for the fans with Clemans holding on to the top spot. James Givens would get to second on lap 7 and began pressuring Clemans for the lead. Clemans looked to have the car to win but Givens got to his bumper on lap 17 giving him a bump to move him up the track to take the lead. Once out front, Givens pulled away to go on and score his third win of the season. Rounding out the top five were Trent Clemans, Chad Champion, Chris Champion, and John Hankins Jr. The speedway will take the weekend of August 17th off and return to racing on Saturday, August 24th to host the $3000 to win Northern Neck Chevrolet Prelude to the World Championship for the FASTRAK Pro Late Model Touring Series. The night will feature all four of the speedway’s Dirt Series Championship divisions in action. Weather Forces Virginia Motor Speedway to Cancel Racing Activities for Saturday, August 3, 2019

Jamaica, VA – With already soaked grounds and more rain on the way officials of Virginia Motor Speedway have made the tough decision to cancel racing activities for Pepsi Night Saturday, August 3rd. “We have a lot of competitors and fans who travel an enormous amount of highway miles to attend our events,” said track owner Bill Sawyer. “We don’t want anyone to have the burden of making a long trip for nothing.” Sawyer added, “We hate to have to cancel tomorrow’s racing, but as we make this decision the grounds look like “Lake Jamaica” and with more rain on the way, we felt it best just to make the call.” The speedway will return to racing next Saturday, August 10th and host the rescheduled Pepsi Night and week 10 of Dirt Series Championship weekly racing action featuring the Victory Lap Pro Late Models, Budweiser Modifieds, Truckin Thunder Sportsman and Collision One Limited Stock Cars in action.
