ATLANTA (Nov. 11, 2013) – Aaron’s, Inc. (NYSE: AAN) announced today a one-year exclusive sponsorship agreement with Virginia Motor Speedway. Over the next year, Aaron’s will have exclusive naming rights to the Aaron’s Commonwealth 100. Virginia Motor Speedway Crowns 2013 Champions

Jamaica, VA – Bill Sawyers Virginia Motor Speedway wrapped up the 2013 season by recognizing the top ten in each of the track’s divisions with special attention reserved for the 2013 champions. During the night’s events almost $34,000 in cash and prizes were awarded, of that almost $26,000 was in cash. During the night’s events it was announced that the Commonwealth 100 would be returning in 2014 on April 12th with National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) sanctioning and pay $20,000 to the winner and that the USA 100 would return on May 17th with the Ultimate Super Late Model Series once again sanctioning the event. More details about both events will be forthcoming. It was also announced that all the track’s divisional sponsors would be returning for the 2014 season and that the track’s Fastrak Pro Late Model division will have Aaron’s, Inc. as the division sponsor and that the division will now have a separate weekly payout and yearly point fund. Justin Williams of Shipman, VA was crowned the 2013 Victory Lap Late Model Champion and received a check for $5,000 for his efforts. Adams also received a $500 certificate from the Joie of Seating, a custom calendar from Al Goulder Photography and his Championship helmet trophy and jacket. Rain Can’t Dampen Spirits of Mud Boggers at 9th Annual Run A Muck Mud Bog; Results

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 9th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog, Mud Sling and Truck Show presented by James River Equipment, Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Down and Dirty Virginia, Monster Energy Drink, After Hours Fabrication, Truckin Thunder and Collision One this past Saturday October 19th to a very enthusiastic crowd of mud maniacs. The rainy day could not dampen the spirits of the mud bogging faithful as they came out in full force to take part in the event. Overall 107 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 194 total passes. Adding to the excitement Steve Sims in Stone Crusher and Maxey Broadus in Walking Tall put on a fantastic Down and Dirty freestyle monster truck show for the fans with some high flying maneuvers. Jamaica, VA – Brett Adkins and Brandon Sandridge both capped off their title seasons with wins on Safety-Kleen, Chandler Chevrolet Championship Night at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway. Adkins picked up the win and championship in the Truckin Thunder Sportsman feature by nipping Junior Carter at the line by .055 seconds and in the Collision One Limited Stock Cars Brandon Sandridge took over the lead from Shawn Otey on lap 16 and went on to take the win. Also winning 2013 Championships were Justin Williams (Victory Lap Late Models); Jimmy Duncan (Budweiser Modified) and Davis Padula (Fastrak Pro Late Model). Also getting wins on Championship night were Joe Ender (Victory Lap Late Model) and Mike Reynolds (Budweiser Modified). In a special $1000 to win “Winner Take All” Late Model Shootout Justin Williams used the highside to chase down Troy Williams to take the lead with three to go to take home the cash. In the Victory Lap Late Model 35 lap feature Joe Ender and Justin Williams led the field to green with Ender taking the lead on the opening circuit. Ender set a torrid pace as the rest of the field battled for second. Williams tried to close the gap in the closing laps as the tow worked lapped traffic but Ender was able to take home the win, his second of the season. Rounding out the top five were Justin Williams, Troy Williams, Tim Shelton and Billy Tucker. Davis Lipscombe picked up the win in Fastrak Pro Late Models. In the Budweiser Modified 25 lap feature Joey Polevoy took the lead on the opening lap and would set the pace for the first nine laps before spinning and handing the lead over to Bret Hamilton. Hamilton would pace the field for two laps until Mike Reynolds took over the top spot on a lap 11 restart. Once out front Reynolds set sail and went on to take the win. Eric Erwin, Josh Harris, Joey Polevoy and Jimmy Dunca rounded out the top five. In the Truckin Thunder Sportsman 25 lap feature Brandon Coates and Hunter Ashworth led the field to green. Ashworth would lead the first lap but would surrender the lead to Junior Carter on the following lap. Once out front it looked as if Carter would run away with the win but Brett Adkins had other ideas. Adkins, with the help of lapped traffic, closed in on Carter over the last five laps of the race. Coming to the checkered flag Adkins dove under Carter they worked traffic out of four and at the line Adkins picked up the win by .055 seconds. Rounding out the top five were Junior Carter, Roger Jamerson, Hunter Shelton and Michael Roop. In the Collision One Limited Stock Car 20 lap feature Shawn Otey and Ryan Hutchens led the field to green with Otey taking the point. Otey would lead the first 15 laps with Brandon Sandridge in hot pursuit. On lap 15 Sandridfge dove under Otey coming out of turn 2 and took the lead at the line. Sandridge would take the win over Otey, Ben Lowry, Matthew Cook and Ryan Hutchens rounded out the top five. The speedway will sit idle until Saturday October 14th when the speedway will host the 9th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River Equipment and the Virginia Army National Guard. Jamaica, VA – After much discussion and review of this weekend’s (August 31st) Collision One Limited Stock incident involving Wesley Givens and David Bowler during the division’s second feature, the following penalties have been handed down by speedway management. Wesley Givens has been suspended from any further racing activities at Virginia Motor Speedway for the remainder of the season for actions detrimental to the safety of other competitors. Givens has also been stripped of all 2013 championship points. There has been no decision on his eligibility for the 2014 season. Cory Almond was the fist Pro Late Model in each late model event. Victory Lap Late Model point leader Justin Williams picked up the lead on lap 15 after getting inside Joe Ender out of turn 2. Once out front Williams pulled away for his fifth win of the season. Billy Tucker, Troy Williams, John Staton and Tim Shelton rounded out the top five. In the second feature for the Victory Lap Late Models Billy Hubbard led the first ten laps before Troy Williams rocketd past him coming out of turn 2. Once out front Williams set sail while Hubbard and Brandon Long battled for second with Hubbard taking the spot. John Staton and Billy Tucker rounded out the top five. Joey Polevoy picked up the lead on the opening green flag and led every lap in route to his career first victory in the Budweiser Modifieds. Polevoy had to fend off several challenges before getting hise career first victory in the division. Mike Reynolds, Dan Arnold and Matt Quade rounded out the top five. The second Budweiser Modified feature may have been the best race of the night as Jimmy Duncan, matt Quade, Dan Arnold and Mike Reynolds all took shots at the win with three wide racing the norm. Duncan led the first 11 laps before Quade got by for the lead. Quade would lead the next three laps to pick up the win, his second of the season. Jimmy Duncan, Mike Reynolds, Dan Arnold and Jeff Sonliger rounded out the top five. Hunter Shelton led every lap of the first Truckin Thunder Sportsman feature to pick up his third win of the season. Shelton would fend off several challenges from Junior Carter who finished second. Davey Pullen, Brett Adkins and Roger Jamerson rounded out the top five. In the second feature for the Truckin Thunder Sportsman Brett Adkins led every lap en route to his eighth win of the season and extending his point lead. Junior Carter, Roger Jamerson, James Snead and Tim Shelton rounded out the top five. In Collision One Limited Stock Cars always put on one of the best shows of the night and tonight was no different. The race started with a three wide battle out of turn 2 for the lead with Brandon Sandridge taking the top spot. Sandridge would have David Bowler, Marty Coltrain and Wesley Givens all vying for the top spot. But Sandridge was up to the challenge leading every lap on way to his third win of the season. It took four tries to get the second feature for the Collision One Limited Stock Cars underway. Marty Coltrain would take the lead on the opening circuit and go on to get his first win of the season. Bobby Curtis and Travis Hopkins ran side by side for much of the twelve lap affair with Curtis taking second and Hopkins third. Rick Powers and Lucas Ward rounded out the top five. Point leader Wesley Givens was disqualified for rough driving that resulted in a huge crash involving David Bowler. The speedway will take Saturday September 7th off for the NASCAR races at Richmond International Raceway and return to racing Saturday September 14th to host Safety-Kleen / Chandler Chevrolet / WIGO Championship Night. It will be the last night of racing for all of the Virginia Army National Guard Dirt Series divisions and the 2013 Champions will be crowned. Competitor gates for Saturday September 14th will open at 4pm with spectator gates opening at 6pm. On track activities will begin at 6:30pm with hot laps. Jamaica, VA – Officials of the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series and the Virginia Motor Speedway announced today that the 34th Annual USA 100 has been cancelled for Friday August 23rd at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia half-mile facility due to heavy rains. After three rainouts the event will not be rescheduled for 2013, officials with both the series and track will work on a date for the 2014 season. The speedway returns to action next Saturday August 31st for Pepsi Night at the Races. The evenings events will include four divisions of exciting high octane, side by side dirt track racing. See the Victory Lap Late Model / Fastrak Pro Late Models, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock Car divisions in action. Jamaica, Virginia – They say “Third Times a Charm”, well at least that is what officials of the Virginia Motor Speedway and the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series are hoping for as they get set to run the 34th Annual USA 100 this Friday August 23rd. The event which was originally scheduled for May 18th was delayed twice by bad weather. The third attempt has everyone anxious to get the $10,000 to win event in the books. The event will pay $10,000 to the winner and continue with the fan friendly format of two twenty-five lap qualifying races to make it into the fifty lap “A” main. Virginia Motor Speedway is pulling out all the stops once again to draw a great field of cars from the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast by offering tow money to any driver not making the 26 car field with any driver not making the A Main receiving $200. The speedway has added a special $1500 to win modified event as the support division for this event. With the added money the speedway is expecting to get a few new competitors vying for the win. Competitor gates for Friday August 23rd will open at 4pm with spectator gates opening at 6pm. On track activities will begin at 7pm with hot laps. Divisions scheduled to race on Friday: ULTIMATE Super Late Models (Two 25 lap qualifiers and a 50 lap feature) and Modifieds (30 Laps). Both the Ultimate Super Late Models and Modifieds will run hot laps, qualifying, heats, B- Main (if needed) and feature.
