Jamaica, VA – Virginia Motor Speedway will have a booth at the Dirt Trackin 2010 show at the York Expo Center in York, PA this weekend Jan. 15th, 16th and 17th. It will be a chance for fans to visit with York Haven, PA driver Jason Covert a two time winner at VMS. Covert will be signing autographs Saturday Jan. 16th from 4:30 to 7pm.
Covert stated, “This is a great time for the fans to come out and see us and get our minds off the cold weather and thinking about spring coming and racing season starting up”. Covert also commented on how he wanted the fans to know about the upcoming Commonwealth 100 at VMS is April. “We really want to encourage the fans of our region to come out and help support what appears to be the Biggest Race on the East Coast for 2010”, he said.

Jamaica, VA – The tentative 2010 schedule for Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway has been released and includes 11 weeks of Virginia Army National Guard Dirt Series action and will open with the World of Outlaws sanctioned $25,000 to win Commonwealth 100 April 16 – 17, 2010 and end with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned $15,000 to win 31st Annual USA 100 and a $2500 to win modified event. Jamaica, VA – Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway will return to racing this Saturday July 11th to host Noblett Appliance and Propane Night at the Races featuring all five of the track’s divisions in Virginia Army National Guard Dirt Series action. It’s a night of affordable family fun!
Competitor gates for Saturday, July 11th will open at 3pm with spectator gates opening at 4pm. On track activities will begin at 6:15pm with hot laps. Divisions scheduled to race on Saturday July 11th: Victory Lap Late Models (35 Laps); Truckin Thunder Sportsman (25 Laps); Budweiser Modifieds (25 Laps); New Generation Racing Sprint Cars (25 Laps) and Limited Stock Cars (20 Laps). All divisions will run hot lap time trials and features.
Adult admission is just $10, Senior and Military $8, Students 13 –17 yrs old $7, Children 7 – 12 yrs old $4 and Children 6 and under free. The speedway also offers a “Family Pack” of two adults and two children 12 and under for only $20.

Jamaica, VA – After a very successful mud bog at “The Pit” at VMS, the speedway will not sets it’s site on this Saturday night June 27th as it will host Amerigas / Budweiser Night with all five divisions of the track’s weekly competitors in action and featuring the Parrish Body Shop 25 for the Truckin Thunder Sportsman division. Parrish Body Shop of Fredericksburg, VA has added a bonus for the top three finishers in the 25 lap affair. For a night of affordable family fun the only place to be on a Saturday night is Virginia Motor Speedway.
