Jamaica, VA – When it’s right it’s right. Anthony Kincaid of Hayes, VA started the night off by setting fast time, he then took the lead from his fourth place starting position on the opening lap going on to lead every lap to pick up his career first late model win in dominating fashion.

“This one I have to dedicate to my dad, he has worked so hard to get us to this point. We put in a lot of long hours and it finally paid off,” commented Kincaid in victory lane.

In other action Mary Anne Williams of Chester, VA picked up the New Generation Racing Sprint Car feature win when Kyle Pruitt’s car failed post race inspection. In the Parrish Body Shop 25 lap feature for the Truckin Thunder Sportsman it was Tim Shelton of Fredericksburg, VA cruising to his third win of the season. In the Budweiser Modified 25 lap feature Brandon Galloway of Gloucester, VA took the lead on lap 16 from Brian Maxey and then went on to record his second win of the season. In the Limited Stock Car 20 lap feature Brett Adkins of Gloucester, VA took over the lead on lap 4 and then cruised to his second win in of the season and second in a row.

Tom Cohick and Scott Adams led the field to green with Adams getting the jump form the outside only to have caution come out for a blown motor on Gene Snow’s car. On the next start Cohick and Adams raced side by side into turn 2 when Adams car got sideways allowing Kincaid to jump to the outside and lead the opening circuit.

On lap 7 matt Morgan worked his way into fourth with an outside pass on Davis Lipscombe. Caution would come out on lap 9 for debris and on the restart Morgan would bring out the caution again with a nasty flip in turn 2. Morgan would climb out of his car unhurt.

On the restart Kincaid would pull away from the field and stretch out his lead to a full straight. Behind him Brett Carlton, Davis Lipscombe, Cohick and Ben Bowie would battle for second on back. No one had anything for Kincaid though as he would go on to record his career first late model victory. Rounding out the top five were Davis Lipscombe, Ben Bowie, Eddie Groome and Vaughan Haywood.

In the Parris Body Shop 25 lap feature for the Truckin Thunder Sportsman it was Tim Shelton and J.R. guy leading the field to green with Shelton leading the first lap. Behind Shelton the race for second was heated as Todd Traylor, Roger Jamerson, Stephen Childress and J.R. Guy all wrestling over who would finish in the runner-up spot.

Shelton would easily go on to record his third win of the season with Todd Traylor, Stephen Childress, Roger Jamerson and John Kirby rounding out the top five.

Dustin Bishop and Dan Arnold led the Budweiser Modified field to green with Brian Maxey driving from his third place starting position to lead the first lap. Arnold would try several times over the next few laps to take the spot only to get turned away. On lap 11 the battle for the lead went three wide for the lead as Arnold and Galloway went inside and outside of Maxey with Maxey holding onto the lead.

On lap 14 Galloway went to the outside of Arnold out of turn 2 to take over the second spot. On lap 15 caution flew for the spinning Brandon Cohick closing up the field on the bumper of Maxey. On the restart Galloway shot to the outside to take over the lead. Once out front Galloway pulled away leaving Maxey to battle with Arnold and Page Harrison for second. On lap 20 the battle for second went three wide with Maxey holding on to the spot.

With the battle for second hot and heavy Galloway pulled away an easy win, his second of the season. Following Galloway to the checkers were Brian Maxey, Dan Arnold, Page Harrison and John Ferguson.

In the New Generation Racing Sprint Car 25 lap feature Mary Anne Williams and Kyle Pruitt led the field to green with Pruitt rocketing to the lead with Michael Tolley following to second.

On lap 10 Daren Bolac tried to get inside Tolley for second but couldn’t make the pass. On lap 17 Pruitt began working heavy lapped traffic to perfection. On lap 19 Bolac went flipping into turn 1 after something broke on his car. Bolac would emerge unhurt from the carnage.

On the restart Pruitt would pull away and would cruise to the win, but all was for naught as Pruitt’s car would not pass post race inspection giving the win to Mary Anne Williams. Rounding out the top five were Tom Humphries, Michael Tolley, Ryan Price and Troy Severin.

In the Limited Stock Car 20 lap feature it was Brandon Coates and Mitchell hart leading the field to green with Coates squeaking by to lead the first lap, the first of the season for Coates. On lap 3 gary Wheaton got around hart for second. On lap the races first caution would come out with Coates spinning in front of the field with help, sending Wheaton to the rear of the field as well.

The caution handed the lead to Brett Adkins and that was all he needed as he set sail. On lap 16 the battle for fifth raged between Ryan Toole, Joe Enders and Raymond Harper with Toole holding on to the spot. Adkins would cruise to his second win in a row followed by James Givens, Kevin Fletcher, Wesley Givens and Ryan Toole.

Jamaica, VA – It took three tries to get the 35 lap Victory Lap Late Model feature under way and once it did it was all Tom Cohick of Gloucester, VA as he led flag to flag to take home his first victory of 2009 in his #00 D&M Cabinets, Gloucester RV Rocket.

Bowie and Cohick led the field to green with Bowie taking control. It would be short lived as Matt Morgan would bring out the first caution before a lap could be completed. The second restart saw a four wide battle head into turn 2 and bringing out a second caution with a spinning Scott Adams.

On the races third restart Cohick would take control form the outside and lead the first lap. Cohick would build a big lead with Bowie and Anthony Kincaid battling for second. Cohick began working lapped traffic to perfection extending his lead to about ten car lengths over Bowie.

On lap 21 Davis Lipscombe took over the fourth with an inside pass of Vaughan Haywood in turn 3. On lap 25, caution would fly for a pile up in turn 1 involving six cars. On the restart Cohick would pull away form the field only to have it closed back up with the races final caution on lap 28. Once under green Cohick would once again pull away to take the win followed by Ben Bowie, Anthony Kincaid, Brett Carlton and Lou Littlepage Jr.

“We made some big changes to the car after qualifying and it took me those two first restarts to figure out what we had. The car was just awesome tonight, I could take it anywhere on the track, it feels great to get the win tonight,” commented Cohick in victory lane.

In other action Tony Wood of New Kent, VA took over the lead and the win in the Truckin Thunder Sportsman feature when the two leaders of Roger Jamerson and Kenny Moreland got together in turn 2 on the final lap.
